Your
food donations on the first Sunday of the month are taken to St. Vincent de Paul by a faithful group of volunteers. Have you wondered how your donations are used? Here’s an update from St. Vincent de Paul. Currently, the Food Locker and BAGS Program is providing supplemental groceries for over 1,400 local men, women, and children. The Dining Room is serving approximately 1,200 hot meals to homeless and low-income individuals.
In addition to food, St. Vincent provides these services. The Thrift Store is providing countless articles of clothing and household items, free of charge. The Medical Clinic is offering free weekly health care, medical supplies, and prescriptions to uninsured adults and children. Finally, the transitional housing program is housing families with children in its 15 units on a rotational basis while maintaining a program of classes designed to improve skills needed for independent living.
