Flocks

If you haven't joined in the flock ministries, wouldn't this be a good time to consider doing so? The flock ministry was created for you, so that you might make new friends and share in times of fellowship and service to the church and each other. Contact the church office or a Flock Group for more information.

Our Purpose

To provide an opportunity for people to build strong biblical relationships with one another, thereby strengthening the entire congregation of Pleasant Grove Community Church.

Our Core Values

Prayer Support
Individual group members are prayed for and encouraged to share their specific prayer needs.

Care Support
Individual group member needs are met in practical ways when the need arises.  (Meals, transportation, visitation, etc.)

Encouragement
We are to encourage one another daily (Hebrews 3:13).  Spiritual encouragement is provided through flock leaders, elders, and pastoral staff.

Fellowship
Involvement in small groups is fundamental for Christian fellowship.  The flock ministry promotes meaningful biblical relationships.

Mission
Members are encouraged to invite neighbors, reaching out to those who don’t know Christ.

Organization of Flocks

Preferred Group Size
The role of flock leaders to effectively shepherd the flock best happens with 12 to 20members.  Small groups of this size are optimum in fulfilling our purpose and core values.

Frequency of Meetings
Each flock is encouraged to meet monthly.  Building meaningful relationships requires regular and frequent meeting times.

Getting Involved
The life cycle of the groups is continuous at this time.  If you would like to be involved in the flock ministry, contact Pastor Bill or indicate on a friendship card Sunday morning.

Commitment
Joining a small group means involvement in its activities.  Members are encouraged, as much as possible, to participate with the flock leaders in planning the various meetings.
